We can assess and provide treatments sessions if you are affected by any of the below as a result of stroke, brain injury or long term neurological condition.
These challenges can affect every area of your life from questioning your identity, personal relationships and changes in family dynamics. You may experience grief for how you were, loss of independence and lack of stability. You may need advice on equipment to help you toilet independently, strategies to improve memory, support to improve nerve damage or a listening ear to help with adjusting to a new way of life. Whatever your difficulties, Neuro Vitality Therapy is here to support you!
We support employees and returning to work by assessing how an individual’s neurological injury impacts on their ability to carry out their work tasks. In conjunction with a person’s employer and HR department, we usually carry out a workplace assessment and collaborate to devise a graded return to work. Current legislation and reasonable adjustments are taken in to account allowing an individual to return to work safely. We also focus on job retention for people who are struggling with the impact of a long term neurological illness in the workplace. This service is open to people who are self employed also.
We provide care homes, hospices, charities, organisations or other health and social care services specialised guidance, education and training on caring/supporting individuals with neurological diagnosis. Examples include but are not limited to seating/postural/positioning guidance, wheelchair advice, moving with dignity (manual handling) and behavioural support.
We provide regular 1-1 or group supervision to or one off case consults to Occupational Therapists and other Allied Health Professionals (AHP’s).
